Hi, I'm Will!

I'm 23 years old, getting my Master's in CS at NC State. My favorite hobbies are soccer, gaming, hiking, rock climbing, and wasting days of my life on half-baked projects that I'll never finish.

Interests

  • Web development

    Both web design (love/hate) and backend (love/love). Due to years of JavaScript induced CTE, My favorite stack is vanilla js frontend + Node.js + express.js + sqlite. I've also used PHP/Laravel, Ruby, and Python.

  • Game development

    Retro arcade game clones, multiplayer games and procedurally generated games. This is the source of most of the aforementioned half-baked projects.

  • Computer Graphics

    2D and 3D graphics, shaders, vector art, Procedurally generated art.

  • Programming Language Design

    Esolangs, terrible virtual machines, and other silly projects.

  • Coding Puzzles

    I do advent of code every year. Last year I got 46/50 stars. I had to stop for Christmas, and totally not because the puzzles were too hard. At least that's what I tell myself.
