Hi, I'm Will!

I'm a 24 year-old web developer with a Master's in CS from NC State. My favorite hobbies are soccer, chess, hiking, rock climbing, and wasting days of my life on half-baked projects that I'll never finish.

Interests

  • Web development

    This is what I do for a living. I like to do a bit of design here and there, but mostly I do backend work. I typically use Nodejs for personal projects and PHP (Laravel) at work, but I've also used python, ruby, and golang.

  • Game development

    Retro arcade game clones, multiplayer games and procedurally generated games. This is the source of most of the aforementioned half-baked projects.

  • Computer Graphics

    2D and 3D graphics, shaders, vector art, Procedurally generated art.

  • Programming Language Design

    Esolangs, terrible virtual machines, and other silly projects.

  • Coding Puzzles

    I love doing coding puzzles (Leetcode, advent of code, etc.) whenever I want a bite-sized dose of programming but don't feel like working on a big project.
